Remember, if you change out your docking system, and your joist size changes, you will need a new Fastening Bracket for your J-Hook umbrella base. You don't need to replace the whole unit - just the Fastening Bracket.

It is a really good product

After years of using the typical umbrella bases on our concrete patio and knowing their limitations, when we had a pool installed last year that has a deck construction apron around the perimeter, I looked for a better alternative.
I ordered and installed the J Hook stand 2 weeks ago and am very pleased with its performance and quality. Yes, there are cheaper alternatives, but you get what you pay for in this case, and here you get a very good product.

Great Canadian Product!

I was looking for a way to secure a patio umbrella on my home backyard deck to provide me with shade while BBQing and stumbled across this great product online. Aside from the excellent build quality of this product, I appreciate the fact that the umbrella stand can be secured anywhere on my deck depending on the sun's position in the sky relative to my BBQ and it can be removed and stored in the corner area of my deck when not in use. The other shade option I was considering was an awning but a cost comparison isn't even close.

No buyer's remorse here and I have recommended this great Canadian product to others looking for a similar solution.

Great Stand

I bought this umbrella stand last summer (2020) after destroying two umbrellas that crashed using my old weighted stand. No question $450 was a lot to pay, but I was looking for quality and I got it here. Right out of the box this thing is a work of art from the styling to the paint job. They spared no expense and it shows. I attached it to my floating dock using the 2 x 6 J hook and my umbrella it is rock solid. Easy to install, good to look at, and works perfectly. It's got to be the best umbrella stand on the market.
